The two words raged inside Misaki's mind with an unknowing and incapable decisions that was placed in front of him in the card section. It was the day before,
"Valentines day"
Trying to keep his so called "Cool" from appearing to be insane by other shoppers in the quite store. Seeing a  screaming teenage boy shout about getting a valentines card for an older man that also happen to be his lover seemed like a nightmare in waiting in misakis mind.
Even leaving school early, so that he may have him to shop for said card, look an hour before he even started to find a "Perfect" card in the sea of pink and red almost drowning him in love cliché's.
He sighed.  in his distress, caught the notice of a passing sale clerk. The woman was shorter then Misaki, but had a large smile as she asked:
"Do you need help finding a card sir?"
Misaki's spaced out gaze startled him at the sound of her helping voice, catching himself back into the moment.
"Ah- yes! Yes I do!" he flashed an ear to ear smile as he thought she might be able to take the stress off him a little.
"Is it for someone special or a friend?" she asked.
Pondering a moment, with his mind in a whirl against Usagi's charm against him-
"Someone special" he said with a nod.
The petite woman laughed teasingly at Misak's apparent blush across his face.
"I see it all the time, a fool trying to find the perfect card for his dearest lover-" she turned to the cards and looked across all the titles that where offered, after almost disagreeing to every "Girlfriend" card, the silent message was sent.
"None of them say how I really feel-" he said in his failure of another long sigh.
"So young at heart..." she drifted off in her sentence.
She pulled out a lightly pale, plain pink card with a similar matching envelope.
"The greatest part of valentines day is not what the card says when its printed, its what you have to say-" She handed him the card, the words sunk into Misaki's perspective.
"-Its better to tell them in your own words how you really feel." Patting him on the shoulder she vanished back to the depth of the store.
Looking down at the card, with no printing, or design it was completely blank inside.  Which, caught Misaki's slowness of writing his own valentines to resolute his whole problem.
The idea that had fully bloomed in his mind, now quickly withered as he came home to an empty house, unable to think of what to write in the card, he thought, and thought, and thought some more on a perfect, almost poetic saying to write, instead of the usual "Roses are red" he quickly, without thinking wrote something to the best of his knowledge of grade school love literature. It was neatly lined in the middle of the card, simple, yet meaningful he enclosed the card inside the envelope and quickly hide inside his backpack so Usagi wouldnt be curious as to finding it else were.
Regrouping himself to actually be studying, now that partially his valentines troubles where partially over. He soaked in the remaining, hour of silence before the dreaded, over stressed writer would come back home, dumping the load of his briefcase to his bedroom. Comfortably sitting on the couch, lighting a fresh smoke.
Misaki went off in his typical rampage: that It was his own fault for because he turned in like he should have he would not be so tired, and smoking alongside with his stress was bad for his health.
The Normal.
Misaki made a simple dinner and the evening prolonged with much intense action between them, into the early hours of the morning.
"Hes over stressed and tired, but that does not stop him from a night of sex-" Misaki thought the next morning after much needed sleeping in, utterly sore.
The aroma of freshly brewed tea wafted from the kitchen as he entered sluggishly.
"Ohayo-" he slurred his lazy Japanese greeting for a typical "Good morning"
Usagi looked up from his newspaper and very happily prompt a same response with a more, alert tone to his voice.
Misaki failed to realize, yet again that most of his morning had already died as he glanced over at the clock reading 10:30. The lasted he had ever slept in on a weekend.
Pouring a much needed cup of tea to awaken himself better. Turning to the fridge to fetch a slice of lemon to add more of a kick to the steaming brew, the contents in the duck designed mug nearly spilled on the floor as he felt the solemn warm embrace of Usagi behind him.
"U-usa..."
Misaki was forced to turn to face him, managing to remove to cup out of his hand to place on the counter beside him, in a swift, cunning way, much like how a fox would approach his pray, only with character.
"I've been waiting for you to wake up"
Misaki tried to struggle against Usagis grasp, which was nearly impossible the majority of the time.
"Noooooo! Usagi-san I just woke up! You want sex again? BAKA! Pervert get off me!"
With the stench of cigarettes constricting the breath of Misaki, Usagi leaned in and implanted a gentle kiss on Misaki's lips. Looking sensitively with violet eyes, the roughness in his voice pierced directly through Misaki's mind.
"Happy valentines day, Misaki"
Drained speechless, Misaki was pulled closer to Usagi's ravishing body, feeling his increasing heart race over and over to his name, Misaki's delicate hand brushed against Usagis heart, placing his, burning hot hand over his.
"I love you" he said in Misaki's throbbing eardrums.
The doorbell rang.
Breaking the concrete, strong hold between them. Misaki trembled to the door way to answer, only to find a more at peace editor, smiling instead of yelling.
"Hi Misaki-kun! I brought you these chocolates if you don't mind"
She handed him the classic heart shaped box with a velvet ribbon tied around one of the rounded arches of the heart. His favorite to.
"Oh! Haha, Thanks Aikawa-san, Happy valentines day!" he chuckled trying to forget the previous event that happened moments ago. Smiling, he felt her kindness as refreshing rather then an actual statement out of love. Usagi stood a few yards behind him as she entered the room, changing faces like a demon in a mask.
"Usami! We have to finish going over your manuscript by five or your going to get it!" Usagi shrugged.
"But its valentines day, and I already had it finished."
Misaki braced himself as he watched the argument unroll before him, good vs evil, or rather the over stressed vs over sexed.
"No, it is not completely done, you still have to go over the chapter eighteen scene" she pointed to the circles marked on the script in her hand.
"The Misaki bondage with whip cream and rope? Already did that yesterday-"
((Misaki nearly fainted in anger))
"It is done! Why are you being so demanding Aikawa? We had this done"
"No its not Ill show you! And Its only because I have a VERY important...event at five thirty and I need to make sure this is done because I will not be here Sunday morning"
Usagi won the battle this time, a clever smile of both a gentlemen and a fox. Staring her down like a target making a direct hit to the center.
"Fine, well go over it again so you have enough time for your romantic evening with your special someone." As he walked over to the sofa, so calmly, drinking from Misaki's cup he stole upon, as if nothing ever happened. In her furious temper she set aside her anger to finish the work throughout all that afternoon, while Misaki cleaned, and continued worrying about Usagi as the time drew to half past four.
Misaki wished Aikawa luck with her valentines with politeness as Usagi sighed closing the door behind him. Usagi stared back at Misaki, and smiled like a deviant yet again.    "Misaki, I have something for you" drifting casually to the bedroom to get a squared shaped package neatly wrapped in a shiny pink foil.
"Your valentines present" he handed it to the unknowing Misaki, unable to accept the gift directly from him out of the kindness of love. Taking it, he opened to reveal a fine, black hard back notebook inscribed with gold lettering, his name, and along with a matching fountain pen.
"A journal?" Misaki questioned as he opened the rather large cover with a written note inside:
"To Misaki:The source of all love, joy, and passion in my life, happy valentines day, Usami Akihiko"
Blushed, and somewhat confused he looked back up at Usagi.
"It was custom, you don't have to use it if you don't want to. It was more Aikawa's idea personally."
Usagi saw Misaki's discomfort and tried to reassure him with a smile.
"No, I like it"
Thinking about the woman at the store, his fist clenched tightly, before having courageous urge to get the sealed card inside his back pack, nearly hitting Usagi in the face from his bashfulness.
"Here!"
Usagi chuckled, as if he where waiting for some, childish card inside as he opened the card, over looking the plainness of the pink.
"You didnt have to get me anything-"
he was cut off as he opened it to read the contents:
"Usagi-san, I love you...I truly do, no matter how I try to fight it, I cant control how you make my heart feel and how you matter. Happy valentines day, Misaki"
A slow, attempt at a jolt Misaki felt was needed to Usagi's silence, and he read over the card again, afraid he did something wrong he slowly turned to walk away-
caught like a fish in a trap with another embrace, overjoyed Usami Akihiko's soft tears hit Misaki's shirt, another connecting kiss was made. He laughed, but not like his normal "Misaki you idiot" ones or, the chuckles that proved he was in 'total control', this was more of a laugh that was true and new.
"Misaki, Thank you." His heart raced next to Misaki's cheek, running his hand through his hair he locked eyes and smiled.
"That was the best valentines I, ever gotten." Kissing with happiness sweltering outwards from his watery portals, the soft taste of salt made it to Misakis mouth as there lips met.
"I love you, so much" they hit the floor softly, still in there hold.
"U...Usagi-san, I...love you to-"
Words, could not compare to how the two lovers truly felt when they where together, something that only the purest of souls could ever feel.
